Dalisa Pocket Pizzas

Ingredients

Pocket Pizzas

  • 1 package of Dalisa Bacon & Cheddar sausages (900g)

  • 3/4 cup pizza sauce

  • 450g pizza dough

  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese

Egg wash

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tsp milk

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Remove the casings from the sausages and shape the meat into 6 patties.
  3. Divide the pizza dough into 6 equal parts. On a lightly floured surface, roll each part of dough into an oval shape.
  4. Place the patties on the rolled-out dough and cover each patty with pizza sauce.
  5. Top each patty with cheddar cheese, then fold the dough over to make pocket pizzas.
  6. Place the pocket pizzas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. In a bowl, mix the egg and milk. Brush the mixture over the tops of the pocket pizzas.
  8. Sprinkle with extra cheese and Italian seasoning.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes, then finish cooking under the broiler for a crispier top.
  10. Cut in half and enjoy!
