Italian Sausage Hamburger

Ingredients

  • 250 g

    of lean ground beef

  • 250 g

    of Dalisa Mild Italian sausage (about 3 sausages)

  • 1/2

    red onion

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tsp

    of Dijon mustard

  • 2

    tomatoes

  • 6

    hamburger buns

  • 6

    slices of cheese

  • A few lettuce leaves

Preparation

This recipe is from the Dalisa Junior section

  1. Start by chopping the onion finely. Place it in a large bowl and add the Dijon mustard.
  2. Remove the skin around the sausages and place the flesh in the bowl.
  3. Add the minced beef and mix well.
  4. Add salt and pepper and mix again.
  5. With your hands, shape 6 evenly sized meatballs. Flatten the meatballs to make patties about 1 cm thick.
  6. To make it easier to cook, put cling film on the burgers and put them in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the BBQ or the oven. Cook them for about 6 minutes per side. Make sure the meat is well cooked before removing from the grill.
  8. Cut the tomato into slices and prepare the condiments of your choice. You can also grill the buns for a few seconds on the BBQ if you wish.
  9. To serve, place lettuce, patty, cheese and a slice of tomato on half of the bread. Add the other half and serve with ketchup or mayonnaise. Enjoy your meal!
