Dalisa Italian sausages (hot or mild)

manicotti, uncooked

small onion, chopped

garlic clove, minced

1 can
of crushed tomatoes (540 ml)

1 tsp
of tomato paste

1 tsp
of fresh oregano

1 1/2 cup
of grated mozzarella

2 tsp
of fresh basil

1/2 cup
of grated Parmesan

Preparation
- Cook manicotti according to package directions for al dente cooking. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the sausage meat with onion and garlic.
- When the meat is cooked, stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil and oregano. Cook until boiling, then lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine the cheeses and eggs. Stuff the manicotti with this preparation.
- In a large ovenproof dish, spread half of the sausage sauce.
- Place the manicotti in the dish, then cover with the other half of the sauce.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 30 minutes.
- Serve with ward bread and a green salad.
