Italian Sausage Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 1

    onion

  • 2

    roasted red peppers

  • 1 tbsp

    of olive oil

  • 2 packages

    of Dalisa Italian sausages

  • 2

    cloves of garlic

  • 1 tsp

    of dried oregano

  • 1 can

    of crushed tomatoes

  • 3/4 cup

    of vegetable broth

  • 2 tbsp

    of tomato paste

  • 1 tbsp

    of sugar

  • 10

    fresh basil leaves

  • 75 g

    or spaghetti per person

Preparation

This recipe is taken from the Dalisa Junior section

  1. Dice the peppers and the onion. Use a garlic press to finely chop the garlic.
  2. Remove the skin from the sausages to keep only the flesh. Heat a pan with olive oil and place the sausage meat and onions in it. Stir often to break up sausage.
  3. After 5 minutes, add the garlic, oregano, crushed tomatoes, vegetable broth, peppers, sugar, tomato paste and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Meanwhile, fill a large saucepan with water. Add 1 tbsp of salt in the water. When the water boils, add the spaghetti and let them cook according to the cooking time indicated on the package.
  5. To serve, place a portion of spaghetti in a bowl or plate and top with your sauce. Add a leaf or two of fresh basil. Enjoy your meal !
