Pogo-style Dalisa sausages served with hot and sour sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 packs

    of Dalisa sausages of your choice

  • 1 box

    of Panko

  • 1/2 cup

    of corn flour

  • 1/2 cup

    of corn starch

  • 1/4 cup

    or all-purposed flour

  • 1 cup

    of buttermilk

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    of salt

  • 2 tablespoons

    of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon

    of chili powder

  • 1

    egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    of baking powder

  • Wooden coffee sticks

Hot and sour sauce

  • 250 ml

    of maple syrup

  • 60 ml

    of corn syrup

  • 60 ml

    of soy sauce

  • 60 ml

    of rice vinegar

  • 10 ml

    of Sambal Oalek

Preparation

  1. Pre-cook the sausages.
  2. Cool down and cut in half, so that you have 2 small sausages. Add a coffee stick in each sausage and reserve in the fridge.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients for the pogo together, except Panko.
  4. Add buttermilk and egg.
  5. Mix to obtain a smooth and homogeneous preparation. Put aside.
  6. Dip each sausage into the pogo dish and coat them with Panko. Fry immediately (oil at 385 F) until coloring and until the sausages are warm inside. Repeat for each sausage.

Hot and sour sauce

  1. Mix all the ingredients and put aside.
