Sandwich with Dalisa Toulouse Sausage

Ingredients

  • 4

    Dalisa Toulouse sausages

  • 4

    sandwich bread

  • 4

    bacon strips

  • 1/2 cup

    of chopped onion

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    of dried thyme

  • 1

    bay leaf

  • 1 lb

    of sauerkraut in brine

  • 1 cup

    of white wine

  • 1/4 cup

    of honey

  • 1 small pot

    of Meaux mustard

  • 1 pinch

    of salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. To make bacon sauerkraut, in a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy, add minced onion, thyme and bay leaf.
  2. Cook over low heat until onions get caramelized. Add sauerkraut, white wine, salt, pepper and honey.
  3. Reduce until dry. Cool down. Season according to taste. Grill the Dalisa Toulouse sausages on the BBQ.
  4. Slice the sandwich bread, spread Meaux mustard, add sauerkraut, grilled sausage and some more Meaux mustard to taste. Serve.
