Slowly cooked sweet and sour pork

Ingredients

  • 3 cups

    of peeled potatoes

  • 1 cup

    of chopped onions

  • 1

    pork roast (about 3 kg)

  • 4

    garlic cloves

  • 1 cup

    of water

  • 1/2 cup

    of ketchup

  • 3 tablespoons

    of red wine vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons

    of brown sugar

  • 2 tablespoons

    of soy sauce (low sodium)

  • 1 teaspoon

    of Dijon mustard

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    of freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 pinch

    of salt

  • 1

    bay leaf

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
  2. Arrange the potatoes and onions at the bottom of the pan. Place pork over potatoes and onions. Sprinkle garlic on pork and vegetables.
  3. In a bowl, mix water, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, mustard, pepper and salt, bay leaf. Pour on meat and vegetables.
  4. Put on the heat and bring to a boil, then bake for 6 hours.
  5. Serve with the vegetables.
