Sausage and Cheese Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1

    yellow bell pepper

  • 1

    red bell pepper

  • 1

    red onion

  • 1

    block of Halloumi cheese (or any other cheese that doesn’t melt)

  • 4

    Dalisa sausages of your choice

  • 4

    wooden skewers (soaked in water at least 15 minutes)

Preparation

  1. Roughly chop the vegetables and the cheese.
  2. On a clean work surface, place a sausage horizontally. Insert the 4 skewers into this sausage, so that it is held by each of the picks. (See video for method)
  3. Thread, like a regular skewer, the vegetables, cheese cubes and other sausages, until the skewers are full. You then get 4 skewers, joined together by the sausages.
  4. Grill the 4 skewers on the BBQ. Once cooked, cut the sausages to form 4 separate skewers.
