Sautéed oriental sausages

Ingredients

  • 5

    Dalisa White Wine and Shallots sausages

  • 1 tablespoon

    of soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon

    of teriyaki sauce

  • 1 tablespoon

    of sesame oil

  • 1 1/2 cups

    of uncooked long grain rice

  • 3 cups

    of chicken stock

  • 1/2 teaspoon

    of turmeric

  • 1

    bay leaf

  • 2

    minced shallots

  • 1

    diced green bell pepper

  • 1

    diced red bell pepper

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Cook the sausages in a skillet over medium heat for 12 minutes, turning them regularly. After cooking, slice the sausages and add the soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. Mix well. Reserve in a bowl and keep warm.
  2. Heat the saucepan over medium heat, add oil, heat and stir-in the rice and mix well. Add chicken broth, bay leaf and turmeric. Cook till it boils, cover and cook for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, add the pepper dices, salt and pepper. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  3. When the rice is ready, remove the bay leaf and add the chopped shallots.
  4. Place the rice at the bottom of each plate and add seasoned cooked sausages on top.
  5. Side dishes: stewed broccoli or peas
