Spaghetti sauce with Dalisa sausage

Dalisa Italian sausages

1 pound
of lean ground beef

1/2 cup
of celery cut into dices

1/2 cup
of chiseled onion

diced red pepper

2 teaspoons
or dried basil

2 teaspoons
of dried oregano

2 tablespoons
of olive oil

2 boxes of 796 ml
of diced tomatoes

chopped garlic cloves

2 cups
of cold water

2
bay leaves

1 tablespoon
of sugar

220 ml
of tomato paste
-
Pinch
of salt and pepper
Preparation
- Wash and trim the vegetables.
- Remove the enveloppe of the sausages.
- In a saucepan, heat the oil. Sweat onion, celery, pepper, basil and dried oregano.
- Add the sausage meat and ground beef, season with salt and pepper and cook well.
- Add the 2 boxes of diced tomatoes and the juice and all the other ingredients except the tomato paste.
- Simmer for 30 minutes. Add the tomato paste. Simmer for another 15 minutes. Adjust the seasoning and allow to reduce if the sauce is too liquid. Serve with spaghetti.
